Singapore's government plans to gazette the 38 Oxley Road site - the family home of Singapore's founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew - as a national monument. It added that it will balance the need to preserve a location of historic significance with respect for Mr Lee Kuan Yew's wishes for privacy.
