Nov 29, 2023 · Not really, you can literally sideload iPhone apps onto a Mac (see: PlayCover, or just go to the Mac App Store, search for something, and pick the "iPhone and iPad apps" filter near the top to find apps that publishers have allowed to be posted).

They probably classify as AA games but not AAA. Being from an AAA developer also doesn’t classify a game as AAA, Square Enix has specifically talked about focusing more on AA games instead of AAA. Speaking of Square Enix, if you are making a list that includes ports of AAA games - FF7 should probably be one of the first games on your list.

I often play games that have a virtual d-pad, plus 3 to 5 virtual buttons on the other side. In the case of Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls for Apple Arcade, it was a d-pad, and 2 buttons, plus another one that you swipe in cardinal directions for 4 different types of input.

Sep 19, 2023 · Square Enix has a lot of the Final Fantasy games and Dragon Quest games. Capcom has Monster Hunter Stories 1. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 are on sale right now. Divinity Original Sin 2 is on the App Store but only playable on iPad. I’m probably missing more but a good resource is AppRaven.

Other than that, Arena of Valor is fun, there's Plato which is a collection of games created by the original Yahoo Games team (has live and asynchronous games), or you could try a non-auto MMO like Dofus or Wyvern (or Runescape soon if you're ready for the grind). It's a real shame that Pathfinder Adventures can't be played over wi-fi.
