May 31, 2015 · That said, the iPad 8 is a huge upgrade over the iPad 5, esp. if you decide you want an external keyboard +/- Pencil. IMO for general usage (excluding games and heavy content creation): A9 + 2 GB RAM in iPad 5th gen is showing its age, but is still pretty usable.

Jan 19, 2011 · I don't know if Apple changed the charging circuit on the iPad 8th gen but the 7th gen was actually capable of pulling 15W from USB-C charger. iPad Pros (except 9.7) and Air 3 are capable of using up to 30W, though. Great when one needs a quick top-up.

May 28, 2020 · An online review (below) noticed an 8% improvement in sRGB coverage with their tested iPad 7 achieving 105% (higher is better) over their tested iPad 8 sRGB coverage of 97%. Meanwhile their maximum brightness assessment measured their iPad 8 at 484 Nits over their iPad 7 which peaked at 450 Nits, a 7.6% difference.

Jul 17, 2005 · We were deciding between an iPad 7th generation 128 GB and the iPad air 3 64 GB. I cannot remember why we decided on the air 3. Probably because of the faster processor. We also got the Logitech combo touch keyboard case, so the reduced thickness of the air (compared with the normal iPad) is kind of negated (since the same case fits both).

Dec 12, 2007 · I'm gonna go with 8 GB, mainly because of the cost, and also because I'm not a heavy iPad user. I really just want the OLED display, lighter weight, and landscape camera, etc. However, if the memory weren't tied to storage, I would have considered 16 GB.
