Aug 23, 2023 · Units that were designated Zouave mid war did get the Zouave uniforms. The monument to the 155th Pennsylvania at Gettysburg shows a Zouave uniform though they did not wear this until later. As the war went on worn out uniforms were replaced with standard infantry uniforms. Zouave units tried to maintain their uniforms until the end of the war.

Apr 14, 2011 · Just received a JRA Zouave and the rear sight screw is stripped. It appears that it is the wrong thread for the tapped hole in the barrel. I know I should probably just try and find the right screw, but I'm tempted to try cleaning the parts and jb welding the rear sight base to the barrel. That screw was VERY soft.
