zoom R16 recording glitch | HomeRecording.com
Feb 24, 2025 · I use a Zoom R16 for recording Radio Plays, 6 mikes and a stereo SFX track. In the first few minutes of recording a get "skipping" where a bit of a single track is chopped out and moved further on. So I get a tiny silent bit then the continuation of what is being said, then the bit that was cut out is "injected" back in.

Feb 24, 2025 · I have a Zoom R16 on which I record Radio Plays with 6 mikes and 2 sound effect channels. I am getting what I can only describe as "jumps"in the track, almost sounding like a needle skipping a track on a record. Usually only in the first few minutes of a recording, which usually last for 30 minutes or so. I have replaced the SD card, didn't fix it.
Zoom L6 USB Audio | HomeRecording.com
Dec 18, 2024 · The Zoom L6 looks like a perfect fit, but this review seems to reveal major shortfalls with the L6 (for how I’m trying to use it). Anyone tried to use L6 with USB audio, coming back to unit, and sending it to Main outs and Aux Sends ? Amazon review: I wanted this to be a small 10 inputs, 4 outputs audio interface.

Mar 10, 2004 · I read a small flood of advertising about the Zoom products; then, the advertising vanished. Read negative and some positive comments about Zoom multitracks. I would suggest the Yam AGW 16 is a better all around SIAB. And, there are the newer Korg units that look pretty cool. For the bucks, the 16 is a good deal.
Can I do this with a Zoom H4N? - HomeRecording.com
Jul 19, 2009 · It's the backward way to do it. If you've already got the file in a computer, then use Cubase or whatever software, and use the Zoom as a USB interface, and you can monitor through the Zoom's output, and run the overdub right into the computer. The Zoom is built to move files *to* a computer, not to get files *from* a computer.
Zoom H4n - best placement in a jam | HomeRecording.com
Oct 14, 2017 · I use a Zoom H4n for in-home and field recording. At home, I use an external condenser mic set-up, but in the field, I generally use the built-in mics. Some of the field recording is done at bluegrass jams where the musicians sit in a circle. I'm trying to find the best placement for the Zoom in that situation.
Zoom H4n - Any opinions? - HomeRecording.com
May 29, 2012 · Mics are tools. If they all did the same thing, recording studios would have 100 mics, all the same. That would be like a hot babe with 100 identical dresses. Lastly, you can put the mic where you aren't, and you can push the cool buttons on the Zoom without having the onboard mics record your button-pushing, and generalized handling noise.

Feb 27, 2004 · Zoom is not as user friendly. I have a Zoom drum machine, and the buttons on it are far from perfect. Programming it is a NIGHTMARE also. Usually takes 2-8 hours for a "decent" song (apples and oranges I know, but my only viable basis for comparison).
