It also tends to be regarded as a cleaning oil, with a stout detergent add pack, so no issues running it for a good amount of time vs typical racing oils. You can use any SAE 40 grade oil interchangeably regardless of the winter rating.

I got the car through a classic car dealer, but I was able to contact the previous owner who said the engine has a roller cam system and doesn't need high zinc oil. He said he ran Mobil 1 10W-30 in it.

And the resulting psi value here was a whopping 36% LOWER than this oil had BEFORE the Edelbrock Zinc Additive was added to it. Adding Edelbrock Zinc Additive SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED this oil’s wear prevention capability.
