Sep 13, 2016 · Every game that uses the Circle Pad Pro will use the ZL/ZR buttons with the same function as the Circle Pad Pro. There's also a few New 3DS exclusive titles. I know for a fact Xenoblade has camera functions tied to the Z-buttons, not sure if Binding of Isaac also has a function mapped to them.

Rehid is a HID module (which are responsible for user-input) rewrite with the aim of easier button remapping for the 3DS. Button remapping with the help of a json file. IR module is patched automatically so ZL, ZR, Cpad Pro (Cnub) can also be remapped. Different button remappings for different games.

Mar 19, 2025 · I'm sure this has been asked but can't seem to find any threads about it but is there a way to map the ZL and ZR buttons? For example, in Super Street Fighter IV, I'd prefer to have ZR as the heavy punch button rather than the L button being heavy punch.

Nintendo 3DS [CTR-001] (2011-2014?) The original launch model of the 3DS. So I just got a New 3DS XL and I'm a bit confused about what the ZL and ZR buttons are capable of. I know they emulate the circle pad pro, but it's hard to find out what their function is on...

ZL and ZR do the same thing as the L and R buttons. You can use either (ZL for L, and ZR for R).

What 3DS games use ZR and ZL? Kid Icarus: Uprising, Resident Evil: Revelations, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, Ace Combat, etc.

The n3DS is how the 3DS should have been from the start, it's such a great system. Far better 3D, second stick, more power for faster load times, slightly better battery and so on. I guess...
