Jul 6, 2008 · I have a 2005 Yamaha YZ 125 and a friend of mine (involved with Dirt Wurx) is rebuilding the bottom end (after it blew at the end of last season). I was thinking about getting an Athena 144 Big Bore Kit.

This YZ kit is newer because 72mm pistons are available from Wiseco and Wossner as a stock part. Your cylinder is bored and Nikailed plated to a 72mm piston. Head and Power Valves modification along with top-end Gaskets and Bearing are included.

Nov 7, 2006 · I would get a 139cc kit from Max Power, it feels less torquey and revs up faster than a 144cc with no case work needed.
