Dec 9, 2022 · Yule, and most Pagan Holidays, especially in the Germanic vein, are actually Festivals, celebrated over many days. 3, 7 and 9 are the most common numbers, typically with the High Holiday in the middle. The twelve adaptation is indeed one of those crossovers with the Christmas Season. That's perfectly okay if you like it too though.

I spend a good chunk of time doing my kitchen witch thing: baking with rosemary and garlic, making pomegranate salad, having a fire, and if the weather is fair enough, going for a night / moon stroll. Hi, Heathen here. Yule is a time of peace and hospitality. I return the greeting the way it is given. "Merry Christmas" is meet with a sincere "Merry Christmas." The same is true of saying happy holidays or whatever else. If someone that I work with or that I consider a friend doesn't initiate it first, I wish them a Joyful Yuletide.

My favorite Yule tradition is the weird-ass folk potion that's been passed down in my family since gods-only-know but basically it's like Elderberry syrup, Lemon, Honey, some bitter thing???, and ginger and it'll basically kick any cold you have.
