My research lies at the intersection of optimization and machine learning, with a focus on the theory and practice of low-rank structures. This is a foundational framework for understanding how complex, high-dimensional systems emerge from simple, low-dimensional patterns, and also enjoys deep connections to electricity grids.

My research focuses on developing mathematical and computational tools for the study of complex systems, especially using techniques from dynamical systems, network theory, data science, and machine learning.
