Jun 24, 2020 · Did some more research and came across this from Microsoft about CPU compatibility for Windows 10. Only a select few Xeon processors are compatible with Windows 10, and the latest versions of Windows 10 need to be Windows 10 pro for Workstations, and then its only compatible with newer Xeons. The E5630 are not supported at all.

Jan 26, 2022 · On my Dell T5810 has Xeon E5-1620 v3 and its running Windows 11 Pro without any issues and it can get all monthly Cumulative Updates and it can also run Windows 11 Insider Previews. (Originally this device had TPM1.2 but Dell had patch to update it to TPM2.0)

Jun 27, 2022 · I have both a laptop and desktop that I have purchased. While most people use an i5 processor, I use Xeon processors and ECC memory which works well with Windows 11 Pro for Workstations. Even my laptop uses a xeon processor, it does cost significantly more.
