I remember I used to insert a small paragraph of code that made the game think I had unlocked Xan. When I try it though it doesn't seem to work.

Feb 19, 2015 · When you first get UT Loque and the rest of the 32 bots everybody's familiar with are all set as defaults; except Xan. That's why if you change the bots but click the "return to defaults" you get them all back the way they were when they first showed up on your system.

Mar 19, 2024 · I just noticed that Malcolm in the sequel (UT2004) was mentioned as "former champions" and made me curious to know who defeated Xan in the first UT. So the player in UT99 is most likely Malcolm? That explains about why in the sequel mentioned it's champions in SP mode on UT2004.

Nov 28, 2021 · To my recollection you unlock a boss character after you beat the game and to unlock the others you need to play on a different difficulty, so the difficulty doesn't matter as long as you play on a different one.

Jun 27, 2021 · Two, there are extra sounds tucked away in the .uax files. If you load the voice files (eg. BossVoice.uax) into UnrealEd's sound browser, you can listen to callsigns ("charlie", "tango" etc) and explicit taunts ("you jackoff" for Xan, "suck it down" for the others). Anyone know of any other hidden content in the game?
