XR 70 blowing out white smoke - PlanetMinis Forums
Feb 16, 2006 · 98 xr70 is blowing out white smoke? someone said it was the valves leaking? I pulled the plug to see if it was clean, but it wasnt, so I dont think it was my rings? What do I look for? How easy is it to replace the valves? Should I upgrade the top end and put on a 88cc big bore kit. Any ideas would be appreciated. thanks Mike otown.

The Honda 70 was first introduced in 1997 as the XR70. At the time it was a great play bike for big kids, girls, and even adults. The engine was basically the same as the Honda 50 with a bigger bore size, valves, and clutch. The best part was it remained a reliable 3-speed automatic.
XR70 & CRF70 When was 1st year? What year did they change …
Sep 19, 2013 · The first XR70 was made in '97. I believe 99 was the last year of the white frame and plastics. Then in 2000 it was a red bike (tank and plastics). In 2001 they went to the bike with the tank shrouds and in 2004 they went to the CRF70 (different subframe design and seat). 2001 is also when the hubs changed from black to silver.
XR 70 compression - XR/CRF50, XR/CRF70, & CRF110 - ThumperTalk
Aug 19, 2007 · Just wondering what good compression would be on a XR 70. I just picked up a used bike for my son and it read 65lbs which seemed really low then I held the throttle open and it read 130lbs which was more like what I expected. It seems to run and ride great so I wasn't planning on a rebuild unless my readings are way off.

XR70 Upgrades and Questions - XR/CRF50, XR/CRF70, & CRF110 - ThumperTalk
Apr 15, 2013 · On my modified Z50's (80cc kits) the stock XR70 carb works great. We are running a Powroll stroker (100cc) crank on our XR70 and it is a great upgrade. Trail Bikes has some great engine kits for very reasonable prices.
ttr-90 or xr70 which one? | The Dirt Bike - DirtRider.Net
Jul 13, 2001 · The ttr90 and the XR70 are very similar bikes, and I know that's what you were comparing. BUT, if you have access to a honda dealer look at the xr80 as a better choice to both. Only $400 more in retail, but a substantially better bike to play with Dad.

Sep 4, 2001 · I've narrowed down the bikes for my son to the xr70 and ttr 90. The ttr is pretty hard to find used, so the honda looks promising. Are there any changes that have happened within the last few years that would make one year better than the other?
