The XM8 is one of the best early unlocks for any class in the game, and deals high damage. The main flaws with the weapon are recoil, which builds quickly when firing fully automatic, and the lower rate of fire than the majority of weapons.

As far as I'm aware, legit XM8s are also mechanically identical to the G36s, at least practically speaking. What part of the xm8 are you worried about? Just out of curiosity. The carry handle seems extremely delicate, and the stock and hand guard don’t seem like they can take a stiff blow, either. The 512 looks belonging there.
