At this moment WMC windows isn't frozen, buttons Back and Cancel are available.

Yet, the WMC Systray is responsible of fairly critical tasks, like allowing to start Windows Media Center using the green button of RC6 remotes, showing a red button in the Windows task bar when TV programs are being recorded and even warning the user when rebooting the system if TV shows are still being recorded (to prevent accidental reboots).

Jan 6, 2020 · Here's a detail worth noting. WMC can't be actively recording when EPG123 updates the Tv listings. At this point, I restarted WMC and WMC's TV guide now displayed program names. However, I noticed a minor problem. I noticed that some metadata was missing, such as the original air date. Fortunately, there was an easy solution to this problem.

May 30, 2018 · I'll probably add more to this later but I have found an installer for internet TV buried in the installer for the WMC netflix installer. Here is a link to the files. The netflix setup file looks to be designed to install netflix & Internet tv. Nested inside the folder are the contents of the unpacked installer.

Dec 7, 2022 · Ok, figured out how to just search for the topic- as just something to try - I removed HDHR software from the Win10 machine and re-installed the version of HDHR mentioned in the link from 2015, then ran the WMC TV Setup TV signal again, it still only see's the 4 HDHR Flex 4K (OTA) tuners - not the cablecard ones.

Feb 14, 2021 · Decided it is time to reformat my HTPC C: drive and have a clean WMC install. I completed Windows 7 install and installed all drivers without issue. I tried Windows update to get to SP1 and it fails (first time ever) and Playready update fails in WMC during TV setup (right after guide listing terms agreement).

Jun 27, 2024 · Note: if you use the WMC 8.8.7 installer I released recently, WMC now embeds its own copy of msmpeg2adec.dll and is unaffected by the removal of the AC3/AC3+ from fresh 24H2 installs (WMP is still affected, tho', which is why I'd always recommend installing 23H2 first). Your problem sounds different.

So - shutdown Start Up Enable Media Center in windows features shutdown / startup go to Windows Media Centre App set it up. Shutdown. Re-install tuner cards Start up Check drivers in Device Manager. Open Windows Media Center Configure live TV. Still hangs on the Downloading TV ...
