Oct 5, 2015 · I work on Windows deployments and this can happen sometimes when the font cache is corrupted. It looks like WingDings but it's not really. The only times i have seen it is when we have hardware/driver issues at sysprep time. I have not seen it on a built system, like you have. Your reset has cleared this cache and you should be ok.

Oct 28, 2016 · Anyway, Wingdings font when typed out "Q33" it converted to an airplane, two buildings, a skull, and a star of David, in that order. The "Q33NY" was supposedly the plane tail number on one of the highjacked planes that day. It was a dumb joke from back then but apparently people took it as proffettic writings.

Dec 3, 2020 · Instead of writing a note for the typesetter like "leave scribbles here" or "leave speech bubble as is", the translator on the team wrote "Wingdings" as a placeholder. As other comments explained, wingdings is a font made of symbols. Typesetter took this translation literally and left it in for the laughs.

How do you choose the font to go to wingdings. I see a dropdown menu, but wingdings is not available with reading mode. I also saw something like "{ font-family: Wingdings; }", but when I tried it, it just appeared as normal text.

Nov 28, 2022 · It's a pre internet thing. It was created to be used as a unique tool for the pre-internet era. It was akin to emojis, but with even more utility. Fonts like Wingdings provided a workaround by giving people high-quality, scalable images that didn't clog up their hard drives when images were low quality and storage was more limited

The closer to actual wingdings/Lucida script font the better, since it's going to be a physical book I won't need to worry about it being installed on pc lol (although I may need fonts for that if I decide to release the book at a digital store) Any kind of 'ding bat' typeface font will work, as long as it'll work fine with google docs.
