Wadah Khanfar (Arabic: وضاح خنفر; born 20 September 1968) is the President of Al Sharq Forum, an independent network dedicated to developing long-term strategies for political development, social justice and economic prosperity of the people of the Middle East.

Briefly after working with Al Jadeed 2001, he founded Allied Advertising, a communication agency Lebanon, Qatar and KSA. He is also the founder of Proteam Sports & Management, responsible for organizing Arab Sports & Youth Minister's Congress in 2013.

Sep 28, 2011 · Al Jazeera has claimed Khanfar’s resignation was in the works before the cables’ release; he has said he stepped down as the specific mission he agreed upon with the Qatari owners—“to transform Al Jazerra into an international news network,” as he put it in an exit interview —had been accomplished.

As the Director General of Al Jazeera from 2003-2011, Wadah Khanfar worked to bring rare liberties like information, transparency and dissenting voices to repressive states and political hot zones.
