Our Canadian Pacific FP7A passenger locomotive 4069 was built by General Motors in London Ontario in 1952. Painted in classic CP maroon and gray, it’s used to head up our vintage CP passenger cars.

In April 1975 CP Rail FP7A 4069 leaves Windsor Station with a Lakeshore commuter train. The exact date is unknown. I traveled across Canada to see this locomotive, and was allowed into the shop for a close up look. I took several shots of one of my all-time favorites from the F Unit family, this fine-looking FP7.

Our North Pole Express train will be led by our 1950’s vintage FP9A passenger locomotives. CN #6520 and/or CP #4069. The train consist will include several of our restored CN coaches, and will feature our historic Canadian Pacific ‘Alberta’ Business Car with observation platform at the end of the train for boarding.

Old Time Trains
Former CP 4069 FP7 taken in June 2000 at the BC Rail shops in North Vancouver, BC. The 4069 replaced the CPR 2860 on the Squamish excusrion run since the 2860 was in disrepair while the CPR 2816 was being overhauled for the CPR in the BC Rail Steamshops.
