The W212 and S212 Mercedes-Benz E-Class series is the fourth generation of the E-Class range of executive cars which was produced by Mercedes-Benz between 2009 and 2016 as the successor to the W211 E-Class. The body styles of the range are either four-door sedan/saloon (W212) or a five-door estate/wagon (S212).

The W212 series E-Class cars was offered as a W212 Sedan, C207 Coupe, A207 Cabriolet, and S212 Wagon. The W212 was offered with a variety of gas and diesel engines, as well as high performance AMG variants.

Mercedes-Benz introduced the W212 E-Class sedan for the 2010 model year. The W212 sedan featured a variety of naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines, available in inline four, V6, and V8 cylinder arrangements.

Although not an all-new model, the W212 facelift was the only mid-cycle refresh featured on a family portrait of several generations of the E-Class side by side by Mercedes-Benz for the unveiling of the W213 E-Class.
