Feb 14, 2015 · I have two m112 engined cars, one is a w211 wagon. Love the w211. The m113 is the right way to go IMO. The e3/550 engines have the balance shaft gear problem. I dont know if that's been resolved yet. In terms of maintenance, one reason why people will say it's expensive is because MB recommends changing rotors at the same time as changing pads.

Jun 7, 2023 · I know the e550 is newer but I have always like the style of the e55. The online specs of performance on both vehicle are relatively similar with the e550 only being about 30 hp better. I will be looking at a e550 4matic is that means anything as well. I would love the input from anyone as I am torn between the two options. Anything helps!

Nov 16, 2023 · The E500 was 2003-2006 then E550 from 2007-2009 for the W211 in the US. We only had the E300 here in 2017-2019 for the newer W213, but they went back to E350 when horsepower went up to 255hp from 241hp in 2020+. Which is still going backwards because the older 2016 E350 had the 302hp V6. Now there's no E500/E550, just E450.

Mar 29, 2015 · So I just bought an 2008 e550 and I absolutely love it. It has the command unit with harmon kardon speakers but I don't think it has the bluetooth built in. It has the ipod integration in the glove box but I don't have an ipod. I looked online for ipod to bluetooth and wasn't really sure what I was looking for.

Oct 8, 2023 · Stuff like steering angle sensor/brake light switch and other ESP errors you don't get as much on the W212 vs the W211. Haven't gotten any ESP errors on my W212 yet and it has higher mileage than my W211. Also sway bar links, cv joints, control arms, ball joints, tie rods haven't gone on my W212 yet although I've done them on my W211.

Jul 9, 2023 · Depends on the year, 2012-2016 had the M276 engine which had 302hp, the older 2010-2011 E350 had the M272 engine which only had 268hp. The W211 had the M272 engine from 2006-2009, the older 2003-2005 models had an even older V6 engine with less hp. So if you get the 2012+, it should be faster. Direct injection engine also had better gas mileage.

Before anyone comments “Did you go research on google 🤓”, yes I did and am weighing my options between completing swapping the flaps completely or just getting the cleaning kit (Which is a cheaper option but doesn’t take care of the problem entirely).
