Jan 14, 2009 · Thanks to ih8change & to James. I ordered an ECC from eBay & it just arrived. Instead of installing the replacement, I just cannibalized it for the thermistor. Works a charm. For the record, the thermistor is (approximately) 25k outside today where the air is about 3C, 12k inside at around 20C, and 7k if I breath on it real hard.

I have a '93 Volvo 850 and the fan for the ac/heat won't turn on at all. I replaced the ECC unit a few months back with a used part from eBay (the last one had died) and it was working ok. Now, the recirc and a/c lights blink for about 15 seconds before turning solid orange.
