VW maintenance is high because most parts are imported and taxed heavily. 10-15k/year is correct but if something needs replacement due to an accident or wear and tear, expect to pay ~50% more than domestically manufactured brands.

Jan 4, 2012 · The car I am looking at is a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta S w/PZEV. It has 35,000 and was bought from Enterprise Rent-a-Car. They are wanting 13,900 for it, with a warranty until it reaches 95,000. Now, as I stated before, I already own a vehicle that needs work, and it is currently sitting in my garage, dead.

Nov 6, 2020 · I own a 2013 2.5L Highline and love it, the 2.5L is definitely the most reliable from what I’ve heard from other VW owners as well as people from the group, I’ve ran into some small inconveniences but nothing too major, currently have an issue with my car shutting off at idle randomly, but from what I’ve read it’s because of crankshaft position sensor.
