VIPR2 - Wikipedia
Vasoactive intestinal peptide receptor 2 also known as VPAC2, is a G-protein coupled receptor that in humans is encoded by the VIPR2 gene. [5] VIPR2 is expressed in the uterus, prostate, smooth muscle of the gastrointestinal tract, seminal vesicles and skin, blood vessels and thymus. [6][7] VIPR2 is also expressed in the cerebellum. [8]
VIPR2 vasoactive intestinal peptide receptor 2 [ (human)]
Identification of rare mutations of the vasoactive intestinal peptide receptor 2 gene in schizophrenia. Dysfunction of VIPR2 leads to myopia in humans and mice.

G protein-coupled receptor activated by the neuropeptides vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) and pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (ADCYAP1/PACAP) (PubMed: 7811244, …
VIPR2 - an overview | ScienceDirect Topics
VIPR2 is a G protein-coupled receptor that, when stimulated by certain peptides, increases cAMP signaling, leading to weakened connectivity in layer III dlPFC network.
Blockade of vasoactive intestinal peptide receptor 2 (VIPR2) …
Mar 1, 2024 · Vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) receptor 2 (VIPR2) is a G protein-coupled receptor that binds to Gαs, Gαi, and Gαq proteins to regulate various downstream signaling molecules, such as protein kinase A (PKA), phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K), and phospholipase C. In this study, we examined the role of VIPR2 in cell cycle progression.

Sep 29, 2020 · VIPR2 and VIPR1 (192321) encode receptors for the neuropeptide vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP; 192320), and also bind pituitary adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide (PACAP; 102980) with affinity equal to that for VIP.
Discovery of artificial VIPR2-antagonist peptides possessing …
Sep 10, 2018 · In this study, we discovered several artificial peptides that antagonize both human and rodent VIPR2 with selectivities against receptor subtypes VIPR1 (also known as VPAC1) and pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide type-1 receptor (PAC1).
Vasoactive intestinal peptide–VIPR2 signaling regulates tumor cell ...
Here, we investigated if VIPR2, a receptor for vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP), has a potential role in regulating cell migration via this pathway. We found that silencing of VIPR2 in MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 human breast cancer cells inhibited VIP-induced cell migration.
