By the way, I think Pontiac ought to seriously consider having Toyota increase the engine displacement for the L-4 engine on the Vibe to 2.2 liters so the car will have more HP and/or torque in the base versions.

The Vibe is underpowered to begin with so I didn't want the reduced HP of AWD engine. Also adding to that would be a little more weight, reduced mpg, higher initial cost, and a smaller gas tank. What I finally decided on is a FWD with StabilTrac which traction control is part of.

It has to do with the ECU not recognizing the chip on the key after the engine has been running and restarted. The Vibe does not have the engine imoblizer like the Matrix so the TSB does not apply. The starting problem is fairly widespread on the Matrix. If a Vibe has a starting problem is is most likely due to some other random problem.
