Vhagar was a she-dragon of House Targaryen. She was ridden by Queen Visenya Targaryen during Aegon's Conquest, alongside Aegon the Conqueror's Balerion and their sister Rhaenys's Meraxes.[2] Other known riders of Vhagar are Prince Baelon Targaryen, Lady Laena Velaryon and Prince Aemond Targaryen.[3][4]

As they ascend higher, Vhagar clamps her jaws around Meleys's neck, killing her with a crushing bite. Vhagar then releases Meleys's body, causing the smaller dragon to plummet and crash onto the walls of Rook's Rest in a fiery explosion.

Jul 9, 2024 · The battle above the God's Eye lake near Harrenhal pits Vhagar and Aemond against Daemon and Caraxes. The confrontation results in Daemon leaping onto Vhagar and fatally stabbing Aemond in the eye, causing the dragon to plummet to her death.

During the chase, Aemond looses control of Vhagar, and with one snap of the dragon's humongous jaw, Lucerys and Arrax are devoured in a single bite. By the horror depicted on Aemond's face, it is clear that events got out of control.
