The Vector WX-8 was a sports car prototype manufactured by Vector Motors. It was first unveiled at the 2007 LA Auto Show, revealing the development and the company's ambitious intentions of creating a next generation sports car successor to their previous models.

In August 2018 it was reported that the company was still actively developing an entirely new vehicle, the WX-8, a vehicle positioned in the colloquially named "hypercar" category, which it first announced and presented a prototype model of back in 2007. [4]

Nov 1, 2007 · At the L.A. auto show, a new Vector was unveiled, the Vector Avtech WX-8 HPV. HPV stands for "hypertech performance vehicle," or, in the company's words, an "ultra-super-exotic."

Oct 24, 2019 · Vector WX-8. While the crash and burn of America’s Supercar optimism was indeed deflating, there is hope. Wiegert acquired the crumbling ruin of his company back, and in 2006, confirmed that a new supercar was in the works. At the 2007 L.A. AutoShow, the new WX-8 prototype was unveiled, but it’s been quiet since then.

May 11, 2024 · The WX-8 first ever made its public debut at the 2007 LA Auto Show with plans to include aerospace and aviation technology, race-car performance, and an interior loaded with switches from an F-22 Raptor fighter jet, a reconfigurable electroluminescent 4 mode display panel as well as spacecraft circuit breakers.
