Based on photos I've seen, I believe these were used in the 78/79 timeframe. They both appeared in the pages of Rolling Stone, the Doctor was a long time columnist, and Big G was mentioned during a review of the Van Halen II album in 1979. Both were cremated and are having their ashes spread over areas that they loved.

Jul 15, 2016 · Eddie was using molded Herco picks on this tour. The first pick is just a plain Herco - this came off Eddie's mic stand after the NJ show on the tour. He later started having Van Halen and the date molded into the picks in two colors - silver and gold. No signature this time out. The back of the picks is shown in the last pick in the row.
