Sep 20, 2023 · The DEC VT05 DECscope terminal was introduced in November, 1970 at the Fall Joint Computer Conference. It was DEC's first raster video terminal. The VT05A supported baud rates up to 300 baud, the VT05B supported baud rates up to 2400 baud. The VT05 could transmit both lower and upper case, but could only display upper case.

The VT05 Alphanumeric Display Terminal, consisting of a CRT terminal and self-contained keyboard, can be used as a peripheral I/O device with a computer or as a stand-alone closed-circuit television monitor (see Figure 1-1).

The VT05 Alphanumeric Display Terminal (technically, the VT05B, but documentation usually referred to it as the 'VT05') was one of DEC's first video terminals. It supported all the same format control characters as a Teletype , so it was a 'drop in' replacement.

This is a VT05 terminal emulator for Windows, written in C#. The aim of this project is to accurately reproduce the experience of using a real Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) VT05 terminal, including the look of the screen.
