Varadaraja Venkata Raman (better known as V. V. Raman; born 28 May 1932 in Calcutta, India [3]) is a professor emeritus of physics and humanities at the Rochester Institute of Technology. [4] He has lectured and written on his Indian heritage and culture and has also authored books and articles on the intersection of science and religion.
