UP 844 was "REBUILT" between 2000 and 2005. Now, 4014 is still being disassembled. Lastly, UP 3985 will NEVER see the light of day again as long as the current manager is still in charge in Cheyenne, which he has stated publicly many, many, many times!

Those facts MUST dictate to the preservation community as a whole, including every member of the current UP Steam department and indeed to the corporation Union Pacific itself, that Challenger type 3985 NOT be compromised in ANY WAY by the efforts of said steam department to return Big Boy type 4014 to operating condition.
