Aug 12, 2017 · The FFV's I've seen at VMF are based on the Ford Ranger/ Explorer frame. Some are 4wd. The wheelbase length compared to the LLV is also longer. Some I saw at VMF were way longer then others there. It was explained to me some of these FFV'S are built on the standard cab and box frame or on the Quad Cab with full size box. Therefore more cargo space.
