Matt Kasten is a native of the Ann Arbor area and a member of Michigan Rugby’s class of 2017. Kasten started playing rugby his senior year at Dexter High School and has played in the back three since day one.

University of Michigan Rugby Football Club (UMRFC) is the men’s rugby team at the University of Michigan. Michigan Rugby is a championship-caliber organization, and is dedicated towards pursuing both rugby excellence and a world-class rugby experience for all.

Dec 10, 2022 · Our sister club, Michigan Women’s Rugby, won the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Division I National Championship on December 4, 2022. This is their first national title. After a tight first half, Michigan’s strategy and fitness paid off with a commanding win, 41-14, over the Notre Dame College varsity squad.
