Aug 1, 2023 · So I have a windows 11 device. I have TPM 2.0, Security processor, Secure boot, DEP, AMD-SVM, and UEFI MAT enabled. All of the security requirements. Yet, it still doesnt let me access the device security menu, because its still not supported?

Nov 12, 2023 · For DEP, UEFI MAT, and SMM, those are usually in the security settings or advanced settings in BIOS. Just dig around a bit, you'll find 'em. Updating UEFI BIOS? The MyAsus App is the easiest route if your laptop's refurbished and Secure Boot was off, a full system wipe is smart. Just to clean out any leftovers from the previous owner.

- UEFI MAT Can't get Secure Boot to show up because I don't know what DEP and UEFI MAT are. Intel 8600k and Asrock Z370m pro4. EDIT: had to convert my Windows install drive from MBR to GPT. Else I can't force UEFI in BIOS and just get a boot loop. Disabling CSM (Compatibility Support Module) is needed in Asrock BIOS to force UEFI.

Jun 28, 2021 · Since an OEM can sign the UEFI and make it a root of trust in a built system along with configuring windows. But a PC built by an end user doesn't really have a root of trust, especially since some motherboard OEMs don't even check their UEFI for signatures. This will all be solved once Intel and AMD include a hardware root of trust on their CPUs.
