Jul 20, 2013 · By disabling the CSM module Windows will read and utilize the M.2-specific UEFI driver. 1- The M.2 drive has to be the only drive installed. 2 - Go into the bios, under the boot tab there is an option for CSM, make sure it is disabled. 3 - Insert a USB memory stick with a UEFI bootable ISO of Windows 10 on it, USB3 is quicker but USB2 works also.

Oct 2, 2019 · So with disabled CSM you can boot/install in UEFI mode only. Windows in UEFI mode requires boot drive to be partitioned in GPT. Windows in legacy mode requires boot drive to be partitioned in MBR. That's pretty much all, you have to know (about UEFI/legacy differences).

Also don't worry too much, just wait until 11 actually releases, I can also guarantee theres a workaround. Oct 13, 2020 · If GPT drive contains windows partition, then you can possibly make it UEFI bootable by creating bootloader partition manually. If MBR drive contains windows partition, then you can convert your system to UEFI bootable with mbr2gpt utility (assuming you have windows 10 and not windows 7).

Apr 25, 2018 · So I tried to change a CSM setting, it was set to disabled.. I enabled it and restarted the pc. Now I can't load into BIOS. When I restart my pc it's stays black for a while, and if I dont push any buttons I get into windows after a while. But if I press on "del" all the time to try to get into bios it doesnt do anything for me.

Oct 4, 2021 · best way to do: clean install windows on uefi only mode (disable any csm and legacy option, save and exit, go to secure boot and enable it, then install the keys, accept/save and boot to bios again to make sure everything is uefi only and the secure boot is enabled on USER mode, and keys is installed (option would only be uninstall/remove keys).
