Leucas aspera is a plant species within the genus Leucas and the family Lamiaceae. Although the species has many different common names depending on the region in which it is located, it is most commonly known as Thumbai or Thumba.

Thumbai possesses Antifungal, Antioxidant, Antimicrobial, Antinociceptive and Cytotoxic property. It is used traditionally to treat Scorpion Bites. A constant rubbing of leaves on the effected area provides relief. The juice of leaves of the plant are used to reduce unconsciousness caused by toxicity of Snake bite.
