May 3, 2012 · However, after I finish processing an image in Mask AI & save it, the file is not recognizable & cannot be opened. This occurs regardless of the file format I save it in, whether the file is compressed or not, and the location to which I save the file. I contacted Topaz Labs who found this odd & could not offer any explanation to remedy.

Oct 29, 2021 · Using Topaz plug-ins from within Lightroom Classic will always result in a Tiff or PSD being returned. Sure it's more seamless than opening your image from Lightroom into PS for onward work in Topaz, but the end result is still a Tiff or PSD.

Mar 27, 2021 · The Topaz derivative is fixed and hard coded If your original was a lossy JPEG, your Topaz derivative is an even lossier JPEG. The original JPEG was lossy compressed and data was lost. The file sent to Topaz was compressed and more data was lost. Topaz made changes and even more data was lost when it was compressed and saved.

It work almost as before, with a major twist. By invoking the external editor, LR generates a TIFF file with all the settings and passes it to Denoise .
