There's even an additional Slaughter-Hammer connection (if only tangentially): CRIMES AT THE DARK HOUSE was the first screen credit for Bernard Robinson, who later became Hammer's principal Production Designer.

Jun 12, 2020 · I discovered Tod Slaughter in the mid-Sixties, thanks to Forry Ackerman (I was the "foreign correspondent" of Famous Monsters of Filmland" since 1962) who sent me some US lobby cards, and immediately started extensive research on him. I wrote several articles on Tod, the first one in 1973 in France.
