Tinkering Camp teaches children the skills they need to turn their wildest imaginings into robust items made from wood, plastic, metal, and fabric. With a 5:1 camper to facilitator ratio, our workshop provides a supportive environment for personal growth through skills development and creative construction.

Tinker FamCamp has twenty-eight full hook up fifty amp spots. Along with many other amenities, FamCamp offers a bathhouse with laundry, a stocked fishing pond, shoppette, and gas next door. If you’re wanting a staycation or a “Welcome to Tinker”, this is the place to go!

Tinker Camp is Portland's premier summer camp for 3rd - 8th graders. We know that discovery and experimentation includes making mistakes, so we allow kids to be creative, courageous and tenacious in the face of those challenges.

This program features a safe, age-appropriate focusing on building skills for life, which promotes social, physical, and cognitive development. The program offers both full-day camps during Spring & Summer breaks. Full-day camp during most school closures excluding federal holidays.

Tinkering Camp provides an immersive opportunity for budding engineers to find joy in challenges, knowledge in failures, and the confidence and ability to keep trying. Tinkering promotes creative problem solving, flexible thinking, a failure-positive mindset, and to top it off. . . it is incredibly fun!

How do I enroll for Before & After School Care, Day Camp, etc. Parents register their children through www.militarychildcare.com. Parents will create an account, then search for Tinker AFB School Age center and complete a request for care.
