The Ox (Swedish: Oxen) is a 1991 Swedish drama film directed by Sven Nykvist. Collaborating with Lasse Summanen, Nykvist penned the screenplay adapted from the 1981 novel Oxen by Siv Cedering. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 64th Academy Awards in 1992. [1]
