Feb 17, 2021 · Tamlin is not a one-dimensional, only bad character - I totally agree with you there. There is good in him that we've seen, and we obviously have not touched on his direct perspective on anything. But I do think that his current state is a direct result of his conscious choices, actions and failures.

However, I do think Elain and Tamlin could walk side by side throughout their respective healing journey; Elain with her ability to see the goodness that Tamlin is known to possess (the Tamlin we saw pre-UTM), and Tamlin with his deep appreciation for life beyond swords and blood and guts.

Feyre /needs/ freedom, self-expansion, the ability to learn and fight and contribute. Tamlin’s post-traumatic need is triggering to Feyre’s, and Rhys’s bargain is triggering to Tamlin.

Rhys also likely handled it better because he was able to learn to do the opposite of Tamlin after seeing the great response Feyre had (a lesson Rhys seemed to forget during pregnancy).

So yes I kinda hope Tamlin gets a redemption arch and something of a happy ending eventually, doesn't need to be with a love interest, just have someone to help him heal again. He did horrible things yes but he has good in him still and potential for growth.

Aug 8, 2021 · Tamlin witnessed all I described above and did nothing, even if he didn’t think it was right. Tamlin just stood by and watched as his father sent Rhys’ mother’s and sister’s heads downriver for Rhys to find and saw his father steal their wings as trophies and just went home with him…. That’s disgusting and unforgivable in my eyes.
