
Cassia x nealiae 'Queen's Hospital White'- White Shower Tree
Jun 4, 2012 · I drove by the large Cassia fistula (which I posted last summer in City Heights), it had lots of leaves on it. What's so strange is I never noticed the 30ft/9m tall tamarind tree on the same property. I should grow a Queen's White Shower tree here in San Diego...maybe I'll have good luck, as I was born in Queen's Hospital in Honolulu, HI.

Jul 14, 2021 · Have a neighbor here w/ 3, ..the biggest of which might be a hair bigger.. Yard isn't pampered either/ trees look like they could use a little more water ( Tamarind in the same yard is very healthy though ).

Aug 14, 2019 · Expected a few flowers but surprised to see 2 out of the 3 in full bloom.. and all 3 not looking too bad -by low desert standards/ after the summer from hell- Large, solid green tree half-visible to the far right in pic. #1 is the neighborhood Tamarind.. Flowers but still no fruit that i have ever noticed.

I have a wild tamarind that is pretty good size now and am mounting orchids and bromeliads on it. And a gumbo limbo that is finally getting some size.

Jul 29, 2011 · Yes, you're correct. Like DoomDave said there's many in Mexican and Asian neighborhoods. I've seen many papayas, beautiful, large bunches of bananas, Lychee, Tamarind, Longan, Wax Jambu (Syzygium samarangense) and even some Jack fruit trees close to my neighborhood here by San Diego State University.

The co worker I shared a mac seedling with has a larger longan that has produced/ is currently producing flowers up in Sunnyvale.
