What is OHE ? ( Over Head Equipment)
Jun 26, 2023 · Overhead Equipment (OHE) refers to the infrastructure and equipment used in railway systems for the electrification and power supply of trains. OHE is typically installed above the tracks and provides the necessary electrical power to propel and operate electric trains.
Railway OHE Structure – RR Ispat
Portal structures are used to accommodate OHE of many lines (2 to 8 tracks) where it is not possible to erect independent mast due to restriction of track center. There are three types of portal namely N, O and R type.

OHE STRUCUTRES
Two/Three Track Cantilever (TTC) 5. Portal (N, O, R, P, G and BFB 6X12) OHE conductors are suspended from swiveling cantilever assembly generally erected on individual mast. The masts for standard applications viz. masts for single OHE, anti-creep and overlaps should be selected from the mast employment schedules.

OHE Foundation
OHE structures are mainly Mast, TTC and Portals. These structures are subjected to heavy overturning moment and considerably low direct load. The top of foundation should be 50-100 mm above the surrounding ground level. The length of mast below rail level should be minimum 1850 mm for regulated OHE and 1750 mm for un-regulated OHE.
