The vehicle-mounted Tactical Ground Station (TGS) is part of the Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A), the Army's primary capability for posting, processing and distributing real time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) information to intelligence analysts and commanders.

The TGS consists of an S-788 – Light Multipurpose Shelter (LMS) mounted on a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). Designed to withstand rugged environmental conditions and extreme temperatures, the dual workstations facilitate mission planning and payload control for manned or unmanned air vehicles.
