The Mitsubishi T-2 was a supersonic jet trainer aircraft used by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Introduced in 1975, it was the first Japanese-designed aircraft to break the sound barrier. It was the basis of the Mitsubishi F-1 strike fighter. All T-2s were retired by 2006.

One of the T-2s, s/n.29-5103, was converted during APR82-FEB83 to a special test aircraft called "CCV", Control Configured Vehicle, and it was rolled out at Mitsubishi's Komaki Plant on 08APR83 and made its first flight as the CCV a/c on 09AUG83.

On display at Gifu-Kakamigahara Air and Space Museum. The T-2 was influenced by the design of the SEPECAT Jaguar, as can be seen from this rear view.

Built 1972 as the third prototype T-2. Later converted into the CCV (Control-Configured Vehicle) and used for computer controlled research. It was finally used for test-pilot training until retired in 2002.
