Oct 17, 2022 · The T-72AV is "special". It's a T-72A, so the armour is lacking and everything with a 120mm or DM33 105 can kill you quite easily. At 9.7 that is quite common. The add on era can save you sometimes, but the armour is spotty at best, and should be ignored. At least ERA protects you from heat and atgms to some degree.

Dec 16, 2022 · The T-72AV has the same armour as the T-72, just with added ERA which isn't particularly effective. The thermals are nice for the BR considering thermals are rare for russia, but the T-80 is by far the superior tank and better choice if you ask me.

Jan 10, 2023 · The T-72AV is a very nice vehicle. It gets some rather interesting perks at 9.7, being Generation 2 thermals for both Commander and Gunner, Night Vision for the Driver, as well as a very good APFSDS round that likes to spall and will do very well against its contemporaries.
