California Street Zendo We are a Soto Zen Buddhist sangha located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Join us Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm and Sunday mornings at 10:00 am.

The fact that we have statues of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the zendo or temple does not mean that we worship these historic figures. Instead they serve as visual and tactile representations of complex ideals that reside within us.

An oasis of deep stillness in the heart of Manhattan, New York Zendo offers city dwellers the opportunity to experience traditional Zen practice in the midst of their daily lives, and provides ample opportunities for the Sangha to practice, work, and celebrate together.

We, at Oak Street Zendo in San Francisco & 7th Street Zendo in Boise Idaho continue this tradition. Each year in the spirit of those in monastic practice, we bring dharma practice to the foreground of our lives. We focus on everyday activity: (relationships, work, & regular sitting).

Located at 634 Oak St in San Francisco, between Fillmore and Webster, the Zendo is at the garage level, accessed through the service door to the right of the garage. Opened and dedicated in January of 2015, we have been holding classes, sittings and presentations by senior practitioners every month for the past seven years.
