The Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP) is a major national healthcare quality improvement programme. We measure how well stroke care is being delivered in the NHS in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Over 90% of expected stroke cases are being entered to SSNAP by providers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland with case ascertainment in Northern Ireland now steadily improving. This means that the data presented in SSNAP Reports are complete and robust.
