SSCS Designs and Manufactures its Frond Scour Control Systems for all types of Subsea and Underwater Installations.
Scour - SSCS
We design and manufacture Frond Mats at our UK base for all types of subsea foundations, cables, pipelines, templates and platforms. Our system is an effective way of protecting structures, whilst protecting natural habitats and attracting sea living plants and life.
Seabed Scour Control Systems - Offshore Technology
SSCS frond mats reduce current velocity and related turbulence in the location in which they are installed, eliminating the conditions that create scour, resulting in immediate and permanent protection. The reduction in current velocity stabilises the seabed and prevents scour occurring.
SSCS Frond Mat deployment requires 2 divers working simultaneously. The SSCS Frond Mats will be installed according to the design layout provided by SSCS during the technical proposal stage, and as discussed in the pre-dive meeting.
SSCS Frond Mats The Frond Mats are fully flexible and are rolled around a centre spool for ease of transportation and diver installation. They are manufactured in three Standard Sizes each incorporating 1.25m length fronds and pre-attached Anchors. Type 12: 2.5m x 5.0m c/w 8 Anchors Type 25: 5.0m x 5.0m c/w 16 Anchors Type 30: 5.0m x 7.5m c/w ...
SSCS™: The Local World Leader of Scour Protection and Lifting Services
The SSCS Frond Mats are used to provide planned and preventative scour protection for new subsea installations and to rectify scour encountered at existing facilities and provide the only permanent solution to scour available today.
How Frond Mats Work - Offshore Technology
"SSCS frond mats have greatly reduced the current speed in the location of application." This was completed using a new weighted edge frond mat, developed to remove the requirement for the standard anchors to be used, which posed a threat to parts of the sites that may still be buried.
Six Companies Collaborate on New Scour Protection Project
Jan 31, 2019 · Great Yarmouth’s Seabed Scour Control Systems (SSCS) is leading a new £1m project to develop an innovative self-installing scour protection system that could save the average wind farm approximately £8.6m over its lifetime.
Energy industry supplier’s global success - East Anglia in Business
Seabed Scour Control Systems Ltd (SSCS™) is acknowledged as a world leader in the provision of Frond Scour Protection Systems for the global Oil and Gas and Renewable Energy Industries.
Scour Protection Systems - PT Kemenangan | Prevent Under Sea …
SSCS uses polypropylene frond (seaweed) mattresses to prevent / decrease the turbulent flow, and therefore keeping the foundation of the subsea structures secure. Installation is simple and the material is harmless to marine life.
