TR2/3/3A - correct spire nut - British Car Forum
Nov 28, 2018 · In the center of this picture is where the heater hose connection is on the firewall. My problem is I remover the spire nuts that hold the screws. Does anybody have a picture of the correct spire nut that fits in that slot? In addition, some time back I think it was Randall posted a copy of the hardware catalogue. I cannot find it on my computer.
Fender spire nuts - British Car Forum
Feb 21, 2013 · There are two types of spire nut- a long and a short and there are only six of the short ones. Does anyone know where they were located originally? I got a generic replacement fender fitting kit which also has the same short ones so presumably they are original.
TR2/3/3A - TR3A Glove Box Attachment - British Car Forum
May 20, 2009 · That is a good picture of the front attachment. The two screws up from the bottom of the dash go through spire nuts clipped to the lower front edge of the box and, of course, the box itself. There is also a bracket on back of the dash, near the center top front edge of the box. A screw up through the box goes into a spire nut clipped to that ...

Apr 5, 2021 · Hi The rear retainer bar for the convertible top has 5 screws which thread into 5 riv-nuts on the rear valance. Does anyone know the size of these riv-nuts? This part is #327-250 in the Moss catalog. Unfortunately, Moss shows it as N/A. So, I am hoping I can order them from McMaster Carr...

TR2/3/3A TR3 Rear Lamp Removal Problem - British Car Forum
Sep 7, 2008 · Could be, especially since it appears that is what GerryL has too. But the listing in the SPC shows "Screw, self-tapping", followed by "Nut, spire". The Moss catalog also shows the spire nut. Of course it wouldn't be the first time the SPC didn't match what they actually did on the assembly line, either; and Moss likely just copied the SPC.
TR2/3/3A - TR3 Glove Box Instalation - British Car Forum
Sep 15, 2008 · The notch is clearance for the arm of the door latch. About 3/4" to the right of that plate there should be a tab on the top section of the dash panel with a spire nut on it. There should be a corresponding hole in the box itself to put a screw through into that nut. Pic of installed glove box...
TR2/3/3A - tr3 glove box | British Car Forum
Jul 9, 2012 · The little bracket shown below (post 60K, TR3A) attaches to the fascia steady. You should have a small hole in the lower left back of the glove box. A screw/flat washer through the hole and into the spire nut completes and supports the box at the back. Be very careful of the sharp sheet metal screws. Ask me how I know!

May 14, 2024 · Question, is the spire nut used on the rear of the starter armature on a MGB the same as used on some TR6 starters, specifically the 2M100 Lucas starter. The armature end shaft is 7/16 inch in diameter? Thanks
Heater Blower Installation | British Car Forum
Feb 19, 2010 · Another day, another question. I spent yesterday trying to figure out where to install the heater blower assembly on my BJ7. I believe my copy of "Austin-Healey 100/100-6/3000 Restoration Guide" is telling me to attach it to the fender wheel arch with sheet metal screws. And I have pictures a...
