SpaceX flew thirty DragonEye-2 patches on the STS-133 Space Shuttle mission to the ISS. When they were returned they were sent to a(nother) manufacturer and the red shuttle was added to indicate the flown status.
SpaceX did a second production run of these TRANSPORTER patches to give to customers. The new ones are the same size as the (white X) employee patches whilst the original (gray X) ones were slightly smaller.
This patch was one of a number flown on the ISS, orbiting outside the Station attached to the MISSE platform. It spent 338 days in to space, completing 5408 orbits and traveling 119.8 million nautical miles.
The USSF 45SW 45RANS Squadron created this patch to signify the SpaceX Starlink launches. As of March 2020 they have all launched from SLC-40, Cape Canaveral AFS. The stingray is the official mascot for the Range Squadron.
